Intro

&esmp; Futurama follows slacker / professional lazy man Phillip J. Fry. Fry finds himself put on a pizza delivery to a cryogenics lab only to fall into a cryogenic pod and frozen for the next 1000 years. He awakes to the 29th century and is assigned a job as a delivery boy. When getting assigned his job he runs away to find a robot named Bender. Him and Bender run from the job assigner named Leela ,whom is a cyclops and is thought to be the only one of her kind , as they run they find themselves in Old New York underneath New New York. They all have a realisation of how much the future sucks and all three go to Fry's great (x31) grandson Hubert Farnsworth. Professor Farnsworth takes them in and to avoid the police gives them all a job at his delivery business Planet Express.

Premise

&esmp; Futurama is a workplace sitcom, whose story revolves around Planet Express's crew and their adventures / deliveries throughout the galexies and planets. The Planet Express crew however suffers to fit in with societal norms. The show focuses around Fry, Leela, and Bender in most episodes; however some episodes center around other side characters.

Characters

Phillip J. Fry - Frozen on New Years of 1999, only to be awoken on New Years of 2999. In the year of 1999 he was an unsuccessful pizza deilvery boy, working at Panucci's Pizza. When unfrozen in year 2999 he becomes a delivery boy for Planet Express on account of his low intelligence. Fry not being very smart or useful makes for a good main character for the shows overarching story.

Leela - A cyclops abandoned at an orphanage when she was just a baby. She thought she was the only one of her kind however she is later revealed to be a mutant and right under New New York her parents have been watching over her since she was a kid; she was not the only one of her kind after all. She is the main love interest of Fry and is the ships captain. Her spontaneous personality and martial arts skill makes her a great choice for the captain and is amazing to watch as she bosses around Fry and Bender.

Bender - A robot made by MomCorp ,a business ran by mom , his full name being Bender Bending Rodriguez. He is the main comedy relief throughout the whole show. He is a major alchoholic (robots must drink to continue running), he is a bending unit who joined the Planet Express Crew. He consists of many jokes about his shiny metal *ss and is often seen with a beer and cigar. He makes for amazing comedic relief throughout the whole running of the show.
